At the base of every virtuous and balanced process there is exactly the concept of necessity, which generates a real creative and productive response, not a consumerist vision, which is in fact one of the main causes of the problems linked to the toxicity of the current fashion system. And consumerism carries with it far wider consequences than the psychologically induced spasmodic use in the customer, typical of fast fashion: higher consumption also means greater use of materials that are faster to produce and less expensive, such as synthetic ones, dyes and treatments. generally unnatural, overproduction of clothing that remains as real toxic waste not easily disposed of and, last but not least, the exploitation of workers’ labor, in distant and poorly controlled companies where ethical sustainability is not a priority.<\/p>\n

For Nanaleo<\/strong> fashion can only be sustainable, therefore respectful of the planet and of the laws that keep it healthy, including the health of people who take part in production processes. Therefore, the technical possibilities of textiles and clothing certainly evolved compared to the past, must look towards eco-sustainable solutions, which originate in the most ancient traditions. This is why Nanaleo has given life to the “AGRICULTURAL FASHION<\/strong>” project, combining two areas considered lacking connection also in the collective imagination, testing a completely natural alternative to the production process of fashion and a diversification of agricultural products, as was still the case in Italy up to more than half a century ago. Using linen, hemp, broom, nettle, wool, silk, cotton and many other natural materials, dyed with vegetable dyes or at least ecological, allows you to create biodegradable and even compostable garments.
